The National Airline of the United Arab Emirates, first took to the skies in November 2003. One of the fastest growing airlines in the world, Etihad is unique in every way. Etihad is managed by an extensive team of airline professionals with many years’ experience gained from leading carriers around the world and drawn from over 50 nationalities. Our pursuit has seen us grow rapidly. Within a year of our operations, we spread our network to 16 destinations across Europe, Asia and the Middle East, adding more than one new destination every month. And the four-member team that started the airline has now expanded to a family of over 900 proud employees, spread over 19 offices across countries, all working towards a common objective. Vision: At the core of our philosophy is the firm belief that people who fly with us are our guests and not mere passengers. This is naturally reflected in all aspects of our service, on ground and on board. Even the choice of our aircraft is driven by our concern for the comfort of our guests. Etihad recently created history by placing the largest order ever for new aircraft by a new airline; it will also be one of the first to fly the new A 380 double-decker when they are introduced, bringing unprecedented levels of luxury to the world of flying.Last year, Etihad Airways placed a substantial order worth US$8 billion for new aircraft, including 24 Airbus aircraft (four A340-500s, four A340-600s, 12 A330-200s, four A380s) and five Boeing 777-300ERs. We are committed to constantly setting higher benchmarks of quality and service for ourselves. The re-launch of our website,, is one of our latest efforts in this direction. The highlight of the website is the online booking facility -- a simple, user-friendly online product that will make it easier for guests to book and plan their journey with us. Designed to be highly interactive, the website allows us to stay in touch with our guests at all times.Over the next few months, we will be introducing a whole range of fresh ideas and an approach to service that is altogether different. Much of this comes from ideas and suggestions from our guests: many of the "little things" that can make or mar any flight gain a whole new significance at Etihad.
