The Council will strive to lead, organise and support all sports activities in Abu Dhabi to serve the community at large and sports development in the UAE. In addition, the Council will sponsor the establishment of sports and social community clubs throughout Abu Dhabi and will provide all necessary elements to support these community clubs to achieve their ultimate objective of promoting youths’ participation in sports and serving as an alternative of sports clubs for the identification of elite performers.

Lead and organise sports development in Abu Dhabi and the UAE at large with the goal of meeting international standards and requirements for professionalism by supporting sports clubs/organisations as well as individuals.

Sport has the potential to enrich the lives of everyone; therefore, no one should be excluded from it on the grounds of gender, age, disability, religion, and social position.
ADSC will be an open, honest and accountable organisation, which seeks to base its decisions on objective evidence. We will expect every individual or organisation managed, funded or associated by the Council to adhere to this principle.
ADSC will co-operate with and support; within its resource limitations, other agencies and organisations that share our desire to promote sport.
Core Business Area
1.Support sports development in Abu Dhabi with the goal of building UAE’s reputation as a Sports Capital in the region.
2.Provide a comprehensive database about sport and athletes in Abu Dhabi.
3.Applying “Professionalism” in all Abu Dhabi clubs.
4.Legislation: The Council will serve as the prime legislative body for all sports clubs and organisations in Abu Dhabi.
5.Events management: The Council will develop the yearly calendar for sports activities and events in Abu Dhabi as well as policies and procedures for events management to be circulated to all sports clubs in Abu Dhabi and monitor the proper implementation of such policies. ADSC will synchronise between all related parties in any sports events, police, hospitals & medical clinics, hotels, airport protocol services, etc..
6.Women & Disabled People: Women and disabled people will find the courage and daring to pursue their goals by ADSC. The Council is dedicated in providing role models for women athletes who signify the accomplishment of women in sports and perpetuate a new vision of women’s abilities, autonomy and self determination. It will also increase participation in sports among disabled people and assist them in gaining confidence and dignity.
