UAE Approves Emblem for National Day
The Higher Committee for National Day Celebrations has approved the official emblem for the 38th National Day celebrations.
The logo, which will be used as the official symbol for all formal events across the country, signifies the true expression of the bond of love and patriotism cherished in the hearts of all UAE citizens.
The committee, which was headed by Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, received more than 50 entries from students of various universities and colleges as well as specialised companies.
The winning emblem was selected unanimously by the Committee members as the most expressive one among the five shortlisted entries.
The committee also confirmed the launch of the celebration website and call centre by the middle of this month.
The national day celebrations will begin on November 28 and continue until December 5, 2009 within the UAE and its embassies abroad.
