Heritage meets innovation at Al Ain International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition amid growing public attendance
(30 November 2025)

Activities at the inaugural Al Ain International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition 2025 continued for the fourth consecutive day at ADNEC Al Ain Centre under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Al Ain Region. The exhibition has brought together an array of national entities committed to strengthening cultural identity and promoting heritage and sporting traditions. It has attracted a large and diverse audience, who have been enjoying live programmes, interactive workshops, and educational activities in an atmosphere that merges deep-rooted traditions with a spirit of innovation, highlighting the exhibition as a leading cultural and heritage event in the region.

The activities continued to draw visitors of all ages, creating a lively atmosphere and encouraging strong public engagement. This remarkable turnout highlights the event’s growing appeal and affirms the public’s interest in experiences that blend the richness of Emirati heritage with modern creativity.

As a prestigious global platform that connects the past with the future, the exhibition is showcasing Al Ain’s rich cultural heritage while reflecting the city’s commitment to a sustainable outdoor lifestyle. Innovation, sustainability, and opportunity creation are core principles of the event, which embody the spirit, environment, and cultural character of the UAE.

The exhibition finely blends tradition and modernity. Thus, there are the latest products and services for adventure and outdoor enthusiasts. These included camping equipment, land and marine gear, specialised vehicles for excursions, and comprehensive solutions tailored to outdoor explorers. The hunting and camping sector offered essential supplies ranging from tents and gear to desert survival tools, while the outdoor recreation vehicle sector displayed four-wheel-drive models, modified off-road vehicles, and field trip equipment. The caravan segment introduced the latest mobile homes and trailers equipped with advanced comfort and technology.

The veterinary products and services section displayed advanced solutions for animal health, including nutrition, medicines, and medical devices, along with services for horses, camels, falcons, and other pets. Overall, the event has delivered a comprehensive experience that intertwined Emirati heritage with modern innovation within the vibrant setting of Al Ain.

The main arena hosted a series of interactive events that blended Emirati traditions with creative presentations, offering visitors a rich mix of knowledge and entertainment. Activities began with a workshop on training and hunting with the Arabian Saluki, introducing participants to the ethics and practices of this traditional sport, followed by live demonstrations explaining the dog’s characteristics and role in hunting. Visitors also enjoyed a bird and reptile display by Al Ain Zoo, which highlighted the UAE’s biodiversity. A falconry demonstration recreated authentic hunting scenarios and was accompanied by a specialised workshop on the art of falconry. Children participated in the “Magical Desert Spark” segment, which offered an engaging and educational experience in a fun atmosphere.

The Al Ain Youth Council organised dialogue sessions and awareness lectures aimed at empowering Emirati youth and strengthening their role in vital sectors in line with national aspirations for a more innovative and sustainable future. The session “Emirati Youth in the Veterinary Sector” highlighted the contributions of young national talent in veterinary medicine, while Mohammed Al Bashar presented a lecture on “Youth Records Management and Safe Disposal,” emphasising the importance of document protection and proper disposal. The session titled “Equestrianism Powered by Youth” showcased distinguished youth contributions in developing equestrian sports. The events concluded with “Youth Security is Community Security,” held in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Police Youth Council, which underscored the importance of public safety and the role of smart systems in enhancing traffic security as part of broader efforts to promote community well-being.

The Abu Dhabi Police General Command also organised training courses at its stand to familiarise the public with the Traffic Points Programme and its benefits. The Traffic Points System is one of the UAE’s key road safety initiatives, designed to reduce accidents and protect lives and property by regulating the behaviour of road users. Ministerial Resolution No. 178 of 2017 defines traffic points as numerical penalties assigned to drivers who commit specific violations listed in the resolution’s annex.

The Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority delivered a wide range of heritage workshops and competitions in cooperation with ADNEC Centre Al Ain. The Arabic coffee workshop saw strong participation, offering attendees hands-on experience in selecting and roasting beans, preparing traditional coffee, and learning the customs and hospitality rituals associated with serving it. The traditional cooking competition was one of the programme’s highlights, where participants prepared dishes such as “Jami,” a traditional dairy-based dish, and “Majboos Lahm”, one of the UAE’s most cherished traditional meals known for its distinctive Emirati spices and authentic preparation methods. Participants demonstrated remarkable skill in preserving and presenting these heritage flavours.

The Yowla competition captivated audiences with dynamic performances showcasing mastery of the art’s characteristic stick movements and rhythmic coordination. This traditional Emirati performance, associated with courage, chivalry, and national pride, reflects the Authority’s continued efforts to introduce the art to younger generations and ensure its preservation as a symbol of national identity. The exhibition’s wide array of events and activities will continue throughout its duration, with tickets available for online purchase to give visitors the flexibility to choose the dates and options most convenient for them.
