The National Academy for Childhood Development Participates in the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Week 2025 as a Visionary Partner

The Academy reinforces its national leadership in childhood development by offering diverse workshops and events for children and parents.Aligned with the event’s theme, the Academy underscores the importance of cross-sector collaboration to advance the childhood development culture in Abu Dhabi and across the UAE

 

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs, and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA), the National Academy for Childhood Development (NACD) is participating in the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Week 2025 as the Visionary Partner. The event, held under the theme “Together We Can Make Abu Dhabi a Family Friendly Emirate”, will take place from 17 to 23 November across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra.

The Academy is committed to supporting national efforts that encourage families to
spend meaningful and enjoyable time with their children. It also strives to promote family
communication and instil Emirati cultural identity. Throughout the week, the Academy will host a series of interactive workshops and educational and recreational activities at the Abu Dhabi Creative Hub. Organized under
Olfah National Program for parents and caregivers, the activities will emphasise mental
health, positive parenting practices, strategies for addressing bullying, and emotional
and social intelligence skills. The activities also cover managing children’s screen time, fostering financial literacy, and other family well-being topics.

Inspired by its Gen 71 summer program, the Academy will also host educational
workshops for children aged 8 to 14, covering topics such as “Sana’a” etiquette and
hospitality, personal grooming, preparing simple meals, and maintaining personal
hygiene. These sessions aim to reinforce children’s social and cultural skills that
strengthen their national identity. Additionally, there will be fun, educational workshops
for children aged four and above, where a play-based learning approach will guide
activities such as colouring and simple crafts.

Dr Meera Saeed AlKaabi, Acting President of the National Academy for Childhood
