Abu Dhabi’s first standalone luxury shopping destination – is pleased to announce that it is hostingthe Alif Art Galleryexhibitionwith pieces by artist AzamatKhatamov from 5thto 15thSeptember 2013. This marks the fourth exhibition to be held at the destination, reflecting its role as a centre for both traditionaland applied arts in Abu Dhabi.
Dubai-based Alif Art Gallery was founded by Natalya Andakulova to promote understanding of Central Asia’s rich art culture in the Middle East and beyond. Born in Uzbekistan, AzamatKhatamov isasculptor and painterwhosework has builtan enthusiastic fan community worldwide over many years. Decorated with a gold and silver medal from the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, Khamatov isrecognised for hislove ofdetailandcomplexvisualisations. In hisgraphic work, plastic art compositions and portraits, Azamat’sartutilisessmooth lines, clay, terra cotta, azure and bright green colours, with many pieces inspired by equinebeauty.
The Alif Art Gallery exhibition at AVENUE AT ETIHAD TOWERS will showcase Khatamov’s distinguishedmasterpiece, ‘Dream Horses.’Motivated by mixing elements and ideas that form in the depths of people’ssubconscious minds, the white and green portrait reflects paradise and symbolises the innocence and simplicity of dreams for all humanity.
Azamat is a member of the Union of Artists and has been teaching for many years at the KamoliddinBehzod National Institute of Arts and Design, where he shares the secrets of his talent and techniqueswith young art connoisseurs.
The Alif Art Gallery exhibition will be on display daily from 5thuntil 15thSeptember 2013 at AVENUE AT ETIHAD TOWERS.
