Russians Win JuniorSkills School Children Championship in Abu Dhabi

Russian school children won three gold medals at the international presentation JuniorSkills competition, held under the WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017. The mini-championship for school children aged 14 to 16 was hosted on the world level for the first time. The participants included countries such as Russia, UAE, Finland and Belarus. School children competed in professional skills in 3 competencies: graphic design, mobile robotic technologies and electric wiring. In each of these competencies, the gold was won by the WorldSkills Russia Junior national team.

The first place in the graphic design was granted to Darya Fradkina from Saint-Petersburg. The gold medal in mobile robotic technologies was awarded to the team of Sofia Gorpenko and Roman Magonov from the Republic of Tatarstan.

The gold medal in the electric wiring competency was awarded to the Chelyabinsk pupils Maksim Alzhanov and Daniil Kalinin. The boys represented Rosatom public corporation, which since 2014 has been holding corporate competitions according to the WorldSkills standards among the production facilities and school children of sponsored schools.
