Having covered more than 1,000km, the Footsteps of Thesiger expedition team is currently trekking to Al Ain ahead of their arrival to Abu Dhabi on December 13th 2011. Presented by The Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH), the team last weekend received a royal welcome as they arrived in Mizeriah City, Liwa, on UAE National Day. The team was received by the Al Manaseer tribe (Al Mansoori), the biggest tribe in the Western Region. Guests included Sheikh Mubarak Bin Quran Al Mansoori (member of the national consultative council) , Sheikh Naser Bin Saeed Al Mansoori and Sheikh Obaid Bin Saeed Al Salmeen Al Mansoori.
