Damas, the Middle East’s leading international jewellery and watch retailer, has today (Thursday, November 3, 2011) presented a 1KG gold bar to Dr. Tejaswini Malhorta who was the third and final winner of Damas’ Diwali promotion. The current price of the gold bar is worth more than AED 205,000.

The pathologist from Abu Dhabi bought jewellery sets for her family at two Damas stores on Hamdan Street in Abu Dhabi and accumulated 20 raffle tickets.

She and her husband, also a doctor, have been buying Damas products since they arrived in the UAE nine years ago.

“I always like the design and finishing of Damas products. They are clean cut and are good value for money,” said Dr. Malhorta.

She was informed by radio station Suno FM that she won a 1KG gold bar. As for most of raffle draw winners, Dr. Malhorta said she thought it was a prank call.

The couple will keep the 1KG gold bar for the future college education of their two children, aged nine and seven.

The other winners of the Diwali promotion were Deepak Bhatt and Neeraj Ritolia. For every AED1,000 spent on purchases in selected Damas outlets during the Diwali promotion, customers received a raffle ticket for the 1KG gold bar prize.
