A convoy of racing cars from Yas Marina Circuit toured the capital’s Corniche yesterday as part of celebrations for the up-coming 2011 Formula 1TM Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Guided by a police escort, the Yas racing cars including a Formula Yas 3000, an Aston Martin GT4 and a Yas Supersport SST, set off from Emirates Palace and travelled along the Corniche. The Yas fleet made pit-stops at the F1 Fanzone and Marina Mall, so fans could get a closer look at the cars and speak to the drivers: Ahmed Mohammed Hilal Al Kaabi, Head of Government Affairs at Yas Marina Circuit; Faisal Al Sahlawi, Yas Marina Circuit’s Racing School Manager; and Saeed Al Mehairi, a member of the Yas Racing Team.
