ADEC Launches A Sophisticated System For Monitoring The Performance Of Communication Networks In Public Schools Remotely

The Information and Communication Technology Division at Abu Dhabi Education Council has recently launched a state-of-the-art central monitoring and support system which provides an extensive set of monitoring tools based on advanced best practice. The new system is an Integrated IT management solution designed to monitor and manage public schools’ IT infrastructure by adding a business context to monitoring IT resources, thereby helping the various stakeholders understand the impact of downtimes on the business.

Mr. Salem Al-Sayari, Executive Director of the Support Services Sector at Abu Dhabi Education Council said that creating such a system that measures the to monitor devices in every school would help achieve ADEC strategy to enhance ICT infrastructure in public schools across the Emirate. “The project which was launched in February 2010 has covered 60 schools so far”, he clarified. “ADEC seeks to adopt technology in order to create a modern learning environment that keeps pace with the current developments in the field of education using ICT tools while improving pedagogical methodology and enhancing communication amongst the school community. This will help boost our students’ critical thinking and problem solving skills”, he added.
