Hamdan Bin Zayed inspects Solar-powered desalination plant

Ruler’s Representative in the western region and Chairman of the Environment Agency Abu Dhabi HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan paid today an inspection visit to one of desalination plants working on solar energy, one of the 30 projects of desalination plants the Environment Agency is implementing in the western and eastern regions.

His visit to the plant, which have been constructed in the Marir region near the Qasr Al Sarab, reflected his close follow-up of the project within the framework of the ongoing development projects in the Western Region.

Sheikh Hamdan expressed his appreciation and pride about the plant and said that he could see the efforts of the Environment Agency-Abu Dhabi to develop sustainable and environment friendly initiatives and developments.

He also hailed the directives of President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the support of General HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces to build sustainable projects that protect environment.
