Saadiyat Beach Golf Club witnessed a historic first-ever hole-in-one on Precision (Hole #3) as Chris Kelly teed off from 171 yards during the opening qualifying round of the Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge.

With eight more rounds left before the grand final on December 9 at the Jumeirah Golf Estates, a grand prize of a slot at the Abu Dhabi Championships Pro-Am tournament in January 2011 await the winner.

For his rare feat, Kelly won a Saadiyat Beach Golf Club singed flag and picture frame.

On describing how to tackle the challenging Precision hole, Saadiyat Beach Golf Club designer Gar\y Player said: “A large green with subtle undulations will demand an accurate tee shot if you are to have a respectable chance at birdie. Avoid the two large bunkers flanking both sides of the green, as they are very demanding to navigate. Choose your club wisely and make a good swing.”
