The panel is consisted of senior judiciary officials, religious counselors and astronomical society members from various emirates.

The decision also stipulated that the lunar months verification committee affiliated with the Abu Dhabi Judiciary Department should follow up the sighting of the crescent moon in the central, eastern and the western regions of the emirate, verify the testimonials and report to the committee to determine the beginning of the month of Ramadan.

The committee will meet on Tuesday evening at the Judiciary department headquarters.
