Abu Dhabi To Host CSR Meeting, Arab Giving Forum

Under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region, Chairman of the UAE Red Crescent Authority, RCA, Abu Dhabi is hosting the Arab Giving Forum and the 3rd Abu Dhabi Corporate Social Responsibility Conference to be held under the theme "Social Solidarity a National Responsibility" scheduled on May 9th at Emirates Palace.

The event, an initiative by Zayed Giving Initiative, is jointly organized by the Emirates Group for Social Responsibility, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and du.

The two meetings is inspired by calls by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for social solidarity and cohesion and realizes the vision of H.H General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces for sustainable social, cultural, health and educational development initiatives and voluntary work.

According to Adel Al Shameri, executive manager of Zayed Charity Initiative, the meetings will bring together elite intellectuals, ministers and governmental officials and business leaders and will act as an ideal platform for discussing the practical Arab experience in facing challenges and taking advantage of opportunities posed by the adoption of social responsibility principles.

The two gatherings will also provide valuable insights on how to use these principles in accordance with the highest standards and refer to successful experiences as a starting point in implementing the concept of social responsibility within business communities.
