Audi Abu Dhabi, represented by Ali & Sons Co. L.L.C. Motors Division, hosted the first round of the Audi quattro Cup Middle East 2010 which is part of the world’s largest amateur golf event for the third year running.

The event attracted both high profile personalities and some of the best golfers of Abu Dhabi to provide what was fiercely competitive field. The winners, Shane Anderson and Michael Revell, scored 43 Stableford points on the Greensomes format tournament and will proceed to the regional quattro Cup finals. The finals will be held in Dubai later this year and will ultimately give them the opportunity to go on to the world final in Sardinia, Italy. The 2nd place went to Hans Olbertz and Deano Hopwell with 42 points. Mark Clifton scored a hole in one.

“Golf is a great platform for allowing many of our customers and business partners to get to know each other and build their business networks,” commented Andrew Hellyar, Audi Abu Dhabi Brand Manager.

He added that Audi Abu Dhabi would continue to increase its involvement with golf in the capital city throughout 2010.
