The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology has warned of a low horizontal visibility due to dust and sand-carrying winds.

In a statement issued today, the Centre called on drivers to take caution on the roads, especially in the western regions. People should also refrain from boat riding as seas would be disturbed.

The statement also asked those suffering from asthmatic fits not to expose themselves to the dusty weather to avoid respiratory problems.
