French Orchestra To Perform In Abu Dhabi

Two of the most brilliantly colourful works in the French orchestral repertoire will be performed on November 27 at Emirates Palace auditorium in Abu Dhabi.

This is as part of the second season of Abu Dhabi Classics, a year long program organised by Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH).

Berlioz’s "Fantastic Symphony" from the 19th century and Ravel’s "Mother Goose" ballet from the 20th century, will be performed by France’s outstanding Radio Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of its distinguished music director, the Korean maestro Myung-Whun Chung.

The list for the second season of Abu Dhabi classics started last October includes high-level musical event to take place in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi until May 2010.

On November 28 the National Theatre in Abu Dhabi will witness a special concert presented by instrumentalists of the renowned St. Petersburg Conservatory, one of the most important musical institutions in the world for nearly a century and a half.
