Ministry of Labour holds open day at Yas Island on labour laws, work ban at afternoons

The Ministry of Labour held today at Yas Island an open day awareness campaign on the labour law and work ban at open places at afternoons.

The awareness lectures were held in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, Health Authority-Abu Dhabi and Mirdif Security ’&’ Safety Consultants under sponsorship of Al Dar Properties PSJC.

Maher Al Oubed, acting director general at the ministry lauded the support garnered by the supervisory team, the organiser of the open awareness day.

He stressed that the ministry was keen to boost contacts with labour market forces through launching initiatives and creative solutions to achieve the objectives outlined in the federal government strategic plan, notably, protection of workers and employers rights.

The workers were briefed about the initiatives of the Labour ministry in three languages: Arabic, English and Urdu.

On his part, Sami Assad, Chief Operating Officer of Al Dar Properties PSJC, expressed his pleasure about hosting the open day at labour accommodations at Yas Island, whose the labour accommodations Island absorb 40, 000 workers.
