Al Ahlia Gulf Line General Trading Company Limited (AGL), the Al Ain-based UAE bottler for the Coca-Cola Company, the largest beverage brand in the world, marked the UN World Health Day on 7 April with a series of seminars, discussions and quiz programmes for employees, widening their awareness on a healthier lifestyle.

Presentations by experts throughout the day highlighted a range of health-influencing factors, from obesity, diabetes and heart disease to the benefits of regular exercise and nutrition. A video documentary titled ‘Your Health Your Choice,’ presented by Dr.Walter J.Veith, covered an individual’s responsibility towards the overall health of the community.

David Swan, General Manager of AGL Coca-Cola UAE, said: "World Health Day provided us with an opportunity to help our employees better understand the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and its immediate and long-term improvement to quality of life. Good health and effective learning go hand-in-hand, hence this initiative helps our employees make informed decisions about healthy living and fully comprehend the consequences of the choices they make."
