The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) has signed contracts worth Dh 8 million for maintenance of 12 mosques of the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum in the northern emirates.

Director of the Department Dr. Hamad Al Shibani said taking care of worshiping houses takes centre stage at the Department’s strategy.

Head of Engineering Unit Mohammed Al Mansouri said five mosques in Fujairah, four in Umm Al Qaiwain and three in Sharjah will be renovated and maintained.
