Aims to Develop Performance and Promote Teamwork
Aligning with Abu Dhabi Plan

Abu Dhabi Quality & Conformity Council (QCC), the body responsible for quality infrastructure development and raising awareness about quality standards in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, organized a leadership retreat over the weekend to review QCC’s Strategic Plan and discuss the way forward.

Drawing the presence of the Council’s top management, the session assessed QCC’s key achievements and turned the scanner on its Strategic Plan, focusing on its vision, mission, values, goals and future directions. In addition, the session also examined the strengths, weaknesses and challenges that have lately hindered the implementation of the Plan and explored solutions.

QCC’s senior management led the review of the agenda of changes and future aspirations, and highlighted the development of the Council's priorities in the coming period. The session also debated the general framework, methodology, time line and expected outputs of the Strategic Plan. The retreat included additional exercises to promote teamwork.

Commenting on the event, Mohammed Helal Al Balooshi, Acting Director of Communication and Marketing, Abu Dhabi Quality & Conformity Council, said: "Organizing such sessions reiterates our belief in the importance of continuing to pursue development and excellence in performance towards creating sustainable impact. At QCC, we are continually focused on the importance of teamwork and aim to spread a ‘one team’ culture within the organization to ensure the realization of our goals for the short and long term future."

He noted that the sessions aim to explore and take on board opinions, suggestions, initiatives and ideas of all talents in order to direct the workflow more efficiently and ensure greater achievements.

The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council was established in 2009 to raise the quality of the emirate’s exports and locally traded products, while protecting the interests of consumers and supporting the UAE’s competitive economy. This is achieved through empowering regulators to establish and implement product safety, legal metrology and conformity schemes. QCC also sets guidelines and benchmarks to identify and verify that the products manufactured and traded in Abu Dhabi conform to the highest quality standards.
