The 2nd MENA Higher Education Leadership Forum, MENA-HELF, opened today under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development.

The opening ceremony of the 3-day forum, which was held at the Dusit Thani Hotel, was attended by a number of decision-makers from ministries of higher education, experts, and university presidents from around 50 countries.

In a speech given during the ceremony, Dr. Sultan Abu-Orabi, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, spoke about how to solve current challenges facing Arab universities in finance, infrastructure and in accommodating students, as well as in technical cooperation with counterparts in various countries around the world.
