Members of the Vienna Philharmonic preformed a concert for children, followed by a presentation of the education project “Wunderkinder” at the Emirates Palace Auditorium in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, 14 March 2009. The event saw the attendance of some 500 children and parents, with students from the Raha International School and the British International School participating. The students and Vienna Philharmonic played a number of pieces together including works from Mozart, Beethoven and Mendelssohn. This is part of the Abu Dhabi Classics dedication to engage today’s youth in the capital with world-class opportunities such as this.
