(12 March 2015)

Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters participated in the 2015 IPIC World Triathlon, which has recently concluded in Abu Dhabi. The tournament witnessed unprecedented success at the level of organization through the designated courses outlined by the organizing committee, and through the safety secured for the players by the police.

Colonel Mohammed Hamid Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Secretary General of the Police Sports Association, said: “The police participate in such competitions that are among the largest sporting events in the region with the objective of networking, promoting active participation, and deepening the cooperation amongst our national institutions. The Abu Dhabi Sports Council is one of these institutions, as it plays a part in the strategic goal of the Abu Dhabi Police in establishing a modern concept of police work, a concept that promotes the role of community and sports.”

Mohamed Saeed Al Muqbali, an administrator of the UAE Police National Team, said that the team participated in order to gain more experience in tournaments that require physical fitness and strength. “Participating in tournaments like this push us all to understand the importance of good preparation and of maintaining our physical fitness,” he said.
