National Defense College Delegation Acquainted With ADP Operations Department Duties

A delegation from the National Defense College (NDC) visited the Operations Department at Abu Dhabi Police to review the various tasks and duties undertaken by the department. The visit is in pursuance of the police leadership’s outreach plan to enhance partnership and exchange expertise between both parties.

The delegation, headed by Brigadier General Abdullah Mohamed Al Al Ka’bi, Chief of the Studies and Research Section at  the College, was given a detailed overview by Lt. Colonel Nasser Suleiman Al Maskari, Head of the Operations Department at the Directorate General of Central Operations in the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, about the methodologies and strategies adopted by the Operations Room, the methods of processing and handling incidents and notifications, in addition to classification of emergencies and proper documentation to ensure accuracy and the coveted speed of response.

The delegation was also acquainted with the administrative procedures adopted at the Operations Department, as well as the modern techniques utilized in the fields of communication, control, and training and the training techniques aimed at enhancing staff members’ efficiency. The delegation members also reviewed the advanced modern technology means and surveillance systems via satellites, and the notifications’ sorting, counting and analysis programs. Towards the end of the visit, both parties exchanged photos and commemorative gifts.
