Al Ain Traffic and Patrols Section at the Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate recently organized a blood drive at its headquarters. The campaign, organized in collaboration with Tawam Hospital and Johns Hopkins Medical University, witnessed significant turnout from the section’s staff members and customers.

The campaign aims at promoting the spirit of giving and enhancing the concept of social responsibility and humanitarian values among employees and customers. It also aims at educating members of the public on the health benefits of donating blood, as a major life-saving factor for many people.

Major Matar Mohamed Al Muhairi, Acting Chief of Al Ain Traffic Section, noted that the drive is a humanitarian gesture that revives the values of tolerance and solidarity among community members. He praised the sizeable participation of officers, staff members and customers of the Al Ain Traffic Section. “The drive reflects the leadership’s firm belief in instilling a sense of responsibility among staff members, and embodies its ongoing efforts to serve all community sectors,” he continued.

Donors praised the importance of such drives, and emphasized that blood donation is a humanitarian deed that reflects their firm belief in the need to boost community partnership and support humanitarian efforts for the service of society.
