Thai traditions are Abu Dhabi-bound from 7 to 15 November this year, as the capital’s first Thai Lantern Festival is unveiled at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi’s premier beachfront address, in collaboration with the Royal Thai Embassy and the Thai Women Club in Abu Dhabi will come alive with traditional Thai food and entertainment at the hotel’s award-winning South East Asian restaurant ­ Sontaya.

Lantern decorations will be placed in the venue and along the entrance, in celebration of Loi Krathong ­ the annual festival celebrated in Thailand where decorated ‘lantern baskets’ are floating along a river.

Following the exclusive invitation only opening event on 6 November to be attended by the Royal Thai Ambassador, Sontaya will offer a four course set menu of Thai delicacies as part of Loi Krathong celebrations to its guests and residents.

This special seasonal food menu is available from 7 to 15 November for dinner only, and is priced at AED 300 per person.
