Tadweer Collected 799.5 Tons Of Slaughter House Waste In Abu Dhabi During Five-Day Eid Al-Adha Festivities

Center of Waste Management – Abu Dhabi (Tadweer) has completed its post-Eid cleanup of slaughter house waste in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, collecting a total of 799.5 tons from October 2 - 6.

The volume of slaughterhouse waste collected in the Abu Dhabi city totaled 475.5 tons, with a further 147.2 tons in Al Ain and 112.8 in the emirate’s Western region. Specific measures were also taken to remove 64 tons of slaughter remnants in non-designated areas.

Mubarak Al Amri, Director of Waste Collection Projects at Tadweer (Center of Waste Management – Abu Dhabi) said: “During the Eid holiday period, Tadweer annually increases efforts to ensure all necessary measures are in place to appropriately manage waste collection. This year, we increased the number of waste transportation vehicles and extended daily work hours to cope with the increasing visitor numbers and related demand.

“Tadweer also leveraged the Eid period to reinforce our awareness campaigns on pests and rodents. Our priority to ensure the careful treatment of waste in accordance with stringent safety guidelines articulates our efforts to deliver world class integrated waste management practices in Abu Dhabi.”
