A delegation from the Hawa (Eve) Committee, from the Directorate General of Naturalization, Residency and Port Affairs at the Ministry of Interior, visited inmates of the Al Wathba Section, at the Punitive and Correctional Institutions Department at Abu Dhabi Police. The visit falls in line with the “Eid Gifts” humanitarian initiative, to mark the blessed Eid Al Adha.

The delegation was greeted upon arrival by Captain Shamsah Al Yaqoubi, Chief of Women’s Ward at the Punitive and Correctional Institutions Department – Al Wathba Section, and Captain Ibtissam Al Hammadi, the Reform and Rehabilitation Branch Manager at the Remand Division.

The delegation offered flowers and gifts to the inmates in the spirit of the blessed occasion. They also reviewed their conditions and the attention they receive from the Punitive and Correctional Institutions Department, which embodies the higher leadership’s vision to provide care to all citizens and residents of the UAE.

The inmates expressed their happiness with this noble gesture and expressed their heartfelt thanks to the committee for their humanitarian initiative.

Towards the end of the visit, Captain Shamsah Al Yaqoubi presented a commemorative shield to the delegation.
