Abu Dhabi Golf Club’s National Course recently hosted the seventh annual International Trophy, sponsored this year by United Steel Works LLC, with a record 92 members competing for prizes.

First place was claimed by the Team USA pairing of Joseph Jasienowski and Charles Parks, whose outstanding score of 43 points was enough for them to take home the much-coveted 2014 International Trophy. In second place, after carding a score of 41 points, was Team North America represented by Shari Corbin and Mark Jenkins, whilst third place and just one point behind were Brett Paulsen and Nigel Husk of Team UK/USA.

Team USA’s chances of victory were greatly enhanced by an extraordinary shot on the ninth after Parks successfully holed a ball from 140 yards for an eagle! With only four birdies and no eagles during the 2014 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship on this hole, the magnitude of Parks’ achievement cannot be underestimated.
