The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense General Directorate discussed coordination with labor camps to carry out evacuation plans at the labor camps, the importance of the security and safety conditions in these camps, training security guards in these camps to carry out rescue and evacuation operations, and the way to act in case of such incidents.

Lt. Colonel Hamad Saeed Al Riyami, Director of Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Stations Department recently held a meeting with managers and owners of labor camps, at the Civil Defense Station in Al Maqtaa.

Al Riyamistressed the importance of evacuation drills as part of the Civil Defense strategy aimed at strengtheningcoordination, support and outstanding performance to counter crises and disasters. “The Emergency Procedure Manual will be implemented along with operating plans and precautionary measures to prevent or minimize losses,” pointed out Al Riyami.

In conclusion, the Director of Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Stations Department highlightedthe importance that labor camps enjoy all means and requirements of security and safety, taking into consideration the large numbers of workers living there. He also urged the managers and owners of labor camps to have security guards at the facilities, who are well trained on evacuation operations.
