The UAE is participating at the Arab Water and Environment ministers meetings which are currently underway in Cairo. The UAE delegation is headed by Dr. Rashid Ahmed bin Fahd, Minister of Environment and Water. In a statement, Dr. Fahd said the meeting would discuss, amongst other issues, a proposal to set up an Arab water ministerial council. Other proposals to be made include a satellite project to monitor the planet.
