RCA, EWHG conduct 50 open heart surgeries in Abu Dhabi and Dubai

The Red Crescent Authority and Emirates World Heart Group, have jointly in cooperation with private hospitals, conducted 50 open heart operations to the needy heart patients in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The move, which is being carried out upon the instructions of Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the RCA HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is also part of the heart initiative adopted by the RCA and EWHG, which struck strategic partnership to provide curative, surgical, preventive and awareness programmes to ease burden on the needy patients. Saleh Al Tayie, secretary general of the RCA, said that the "RCA is keen to adopt medical initiatives, which provide medical services to the needy patients," adding that the operations were conducted at Al Noor hospital in Abu Dhabi and Welcare hospital in Dubai. More operations will follow.
