The function commemorates the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) 50th Anniversary. ADNOC (and its Group Companies) was keen take part as a sponsor and a participator in the symposium and the Riyadh International Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Industries Exhibition held on the sidelines of the Symposium, through its pavilion which depicts the development of Abu Dhabi oil and gas industry.

The pavilion of ADNOC (and its Group Companies) in the exhibition, which saw the participation of major local, regional and world oil and gas companies, was visited by Ali Al Nuaimi, Saudi Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Salman, Assistant Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources for Petroleum Affairs, Abdullah Al-Badri, OPEC Secretary General, and a number of Saudi ministers and senior officials.

The visiting delegation was received by Mr. Mohamed Al-Shamma, Abu- Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO)’s Public Relations Manager, and the ADNOC (and its Group Companies) team. Mr. Al-Shamma welcomed the visitors and briefed them about ADNOC (and its Group Companies) operations, highlighting its role in developing human resources, environment and sustainable development. Al-Shamma added that the ADNOC Petroleum Institute, schools and training centers are boasting high standards and are keeping pace with world-class educational centers. He stressed that ADNOC is dedicated to preserving nature and maintaining clean environment by adopting high- class world standards and creating a sense of competition amongst its Group Companies for adhering to best environmental practices. He pointed out that some ADNOC Group Companies have reached a zero gas-flaring level.

ADNOC pavilion reflected its perseverance to develop and adopt alternative energy resources, especially that some ADNOC Group Companies are already and gradually using alternative energy resources, such as solar energy, in some of their sites. This is part of ADNOC’s future strategy that follows the wise directives of HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nhayan, UAE President and President of the Supreme Petroleum Council, and HH General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Vice President of the Supreme Petroleum Council. Al Nuaimi commended ADNOC’s major role in the energy field, underlining the massive development witnessed in Abu Dhabi, in particular, and UAE, as a whole.
